At Orange County Rural District 1 Fire Department, or as we call ourselves, District 1 Fire, we pride ourselves on providing the best possible service that we are able to. We cover 150 Square Miles made up of portions of 6 different townships, protecting approximately 5,000 full time residents. Seasonal population totals can soar to between 20,000 to 50,000 depending on the time of year and what event is scheduled. Making approximately 250-300 calls for service a year, our highly dedicated members are the backbone of the Department, and the citizens we protect are our motivation to keep improving.
